"I love the land — the way it applauds the light, the way the mountains reach up, and the sky embraces... the way the sunset demonstrates the passion of the One who displays it.
And then there are the people — those who love the land, caretakers as well as those who breathe free the wide open spaces or hidden refuges. Working men, the cowboy, and the colorful and kind people we meet along the way.
I stop to see the cattle because i can 'touch' them ... those curious, honest and self-satisfied creatures so strong and grounded, earthy and communal, and on occasion, clever. I stand in awe of the horses, so wildly beautiful and powerful, 'rejoicing in their strength'.
I love the beauty of them all, and with their beauty attempt to portray the Life that drives them... what makes them each what they are in their own individual glory, and paint them honestly."
